The Litigation Practice Group The Firm's Litigation Practice Group provides the following services: Personal Injury Representation. The Group aggressively seeks to assure the full and fair compensation of injured persons. The Group practices exclusively in the area of litigation. The firm is willing to accept personal injury cases on a Acontingent fee@ basis so that the client can be assured of no legal fees unless the client receives compensation for the loss. Defense Representation. The Group defends individuals and businesses throughout Northwest Pennsylvania in civil matters. The firm accepts defense assignments from direct client contact and through being retained by the insurance carriers providing coverage to its clients. The Firm's extensive insurance clientele assures that the Litigation Practice Group is always current in the law and maintains its litigation skills in a well sharpened state. Commercial Litigation. The Group provides representation of the Firm's clients in contract and other commercial matters both as plaintiffs and defendants. The Business, Real Estate and General Practice Group The Firm's Business, Real Estate and General Practice Group provides the following services: Residential and Commercial Real Estate Matters. The Group provides contract negotiation, title examination and closing services for both commercial and residential real estate matters. The Firm maintains highly skilled legal, paraprofessional and title abstracting capabilities to assure timely and thorough service to its residential and commercial real estate practice. Title Insurance. The Firm is a licensed agent for T. A. Title Insurance Company and is able to provide all forms of policies and endorsements from its Meadville, Pennsylvania offices. Business Representation. The Group provides a broad range of legal services to its business clients. Those services include assistance in the selection of appropriate business entities, formation of corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships and other business entities, assistance in regulatory compliance, contract negotiation and transaction documentation. The Group is active in assisting clients in business acquisitions and sales. In addition, the Group also assists its business clients in resolving their business disputes through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution and litigation. Wills and Estate Planning. The Group provides prompt and thorough estate planning services incorporating all modern planning tools from simple wills through Living Trusts. The Group makes appropriate use of its paraprofessional staff and modern computer systems to assure that all planning is done with proper consideration of each client's individual financial and personal situation. Because of the business orientation of the Group=s practice, substantial attention is given to developing estate plans which assure proper succession in the ownership of client businesses. Probate and Guardianship Services. The Group provides complete probate and guardianship services. Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights. The Group has an active bankruptcy practice with services ranging from protection of the rights and interests of creditors, to business and commercial bankruptcy filings on behalf qualified debtors, to the design of effective and economical reorganization plans for businesses and farms. Oil and Gas Law. The Group provides representation to oil and gas operators and developers in title, operational, transactional and dispute resolution and litigation matters. Intellectual Property Law. The Group assists its clients in evaluating their patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret issues and in making appropriate registrations for trade marks and copyrights. The firm maintains relationships with expert patent and intellectual property counsel for patent matters and complex intellectual property cases. Commercial Litigation. The Group provides representation of the Firm's clients in contract and other commercial matters both as plaintiffs and defendants. Domestic Relations. The Group has recently instituted a comprehensive domestic relations practice which is primarily focused upon assisting owners and managers of its business clients in resolving their domestic situations. When no conflicts with business clients exist, the Group makes its domestic relations services available to other clients. Municipal Law Both practice groups cooperate to provide a broad range of legal services to local governments, public authorities and governmentally related entities throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. |
