David L. Hotchkiss
was born in Cochranton,
Pennsylvania on October 13, 1947. He earned his B.A., cum
laude, from Lehigh University in 1969 and his J.D. from the
Dickinson School of Law in 1975. He was a member of the Dickinson
Law Review. Mr. Hotchkiss is a member and past president of the Crawford
County Bar Association, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations,
the Erie Estate Planning Council and the Pennsylvania Borough
Solicitors Association.
He is active in the community and is long time director and past president of the Meadville YMCA.
He is a retired military officer.
Mr. Hotchkiss has published the
following articles: Regulations Run Amok (Private ADA
Enforcements against Municipalities), Pennsylvania Bar
Institute, 2007 Municipal Law Colloquium; Life
Insurance Trusts, National Business Institute seminar and
publication on Tax Issues in Estate Planning and Probate in
Pennsylvania, 2004; SEC Rule 147 - Distilling Substance from the
Spirit of the Intrastate Exemption, 79 Dick.L.Rev. 18 (1974); Corporations
--- Fair Value for Dissenting Shareholders Under the Pennsylvania

Mr. Hotchkiss practices with the firm's Business, Real Estate and
General Practice Group and focuses his attention upon Estate Planning,
Probate, Real Estate, Corporate and Municipal law, including bankruptcy
and transactional matters. He is responsible for supervising the
firm's estate planning and probate practice.
